It is being said that a restaurant full of customers usually means that the food is good, we loved the food served at Taste of Shanghai.

The Foodiespage team found this popular restaurant, located in the food court of the World Square Shooting centre. After a short waiting on a busy Friday night, we were sitting at our table. The place was incredibly busy with the staff coming and going all the time, all the staff was very friendly, attentive and provided a great customer service.

Interestingly the restaurant's menu is published in a Magazine style so you can see a picture of every dish. We think that this is clever and convenient. In addition, customers receive a menu on a page to mark their selections. To speed the service, the menu indicates that the dishes are delivered on a "first ready, first serve" basis. Dishes are freshly cooked and served quickly, almost as soon as you order you are served your first plate. The portions are generous and suitable to be shared.

Careful attention is given to food allergies if you mention them. This was our case and we immediately got recommendations of changes to a couple of dishes to suit our needs.

The Pan fried pork dumplings, simple in appearance, are literally an explosion of flavours in your mouth at the first bite, so tasty!

The Peking Style shredded pork was a deliciously marinated and well seasoned dish, recommended to be eaten with pancakes.

The Fried rice with pork minced and pickled olives was delicious. The olives give the saltiness to this fried rice, it is great as a side to other meals.

Our Mango Frappe was thick and full of flavour. And finally our Fizzy Berry was really a delicious combination of mixed berries, soda, mint, strawberry syrup and lime cordial. This was a proper drink. We absolutely loved it!
